Hi Friend

Tonight my card is for the Sketch Challenge, at CAS Colours & Sketches

Die: MFT and Lawn Fawn
Sentiment:  Annabelle Stamps
Embossing Powder:  Hero Arts
Design Paper:  Thrift Shop
Card: UPM and Bazzill

I usually make a mess with black embossing powder so today I used a tip I read on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  To stamp in black and emboss in clear - no mess.

Also entering - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

We have a pomergranate tree growing in our back yard.  It's a very pretty tree with all the bright red flowers.  I am so thrilled with the number of flowers on it this year that I have taken this photo to share with you.  Now fingers crossed they will develop into fruit and not split before I can pick them.

Happy Birthday

Today I needed a card for a male relative’s birthday so I have used the lovely trio of colours at CAS Colours and Sketches for my card inspiration.

Images and Sentiment: Annabelle Stamps
Inks:  Distress Inks
Card:Card: UPM

Recently life, as in work, has taken over and not left me time or energy to craft.
Our department is in the process of redeveloping.  This meant we had to pack up the laboratories while they were still teaching. and this is our busiest trimester.  The minute teaching finished everything was moved out.  Now we are in limbo until the building is finished and we move back in.  Which promises to be quite exciting - all new labs.  Some of which are going to be high fidelity labs.  As I said quite exciting.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy Birthday

Today I have a card for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #218

I have used  Hero Arts image which I coloured with Lyra pencil and then fussy cut.  I gave the balloon a touch of  Wink of Stella.  A small Lawn Fawn Stiched rectangle was cut and an Annabelle Stamps sentiment was stamped on it and and one corner was lightly sponged with Distress Ink.  The mouse image was adhered to the rectangle with foam tape.  A Technique Tuesday daisy die was added to the panel and the rectangle was added to the panel with foam tape.  All was added to the card base again with foam tape.  Then horror! I noticed a smudge so I added three Clear Droplets.

Rainbow

Todays post is for CAS-ual Fridays CFC171 - Rainbows.  By happy coincidence I can also use Rainbow for the Time Out Challenge #80 'When it rains look for rainbows, when its dark look for stars'

The rainbow was created using copics on a strip of card.  I then used an Annabelle Stamps die on a second card strip and stuck the two together.  The Hero Arts sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and Hero Arts white embossing powder was added and heat embossed.  The sentiment was then added to the card using foam tape.  The panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape.
