Silver Shells

My card tonight is for the Sister’s Challenge and the theme is shells.  It was supposed to be 10pm last night.  But 12:30 am arrived and I was still working on my card, fifth or sixth version.
So as soon as I got home from work I started again and here is my card.

Stamps:  Stampin' Up
Die:  Paper Smooches
Card:  Bazzill & Shannon (silver)
Embossing powder:  Hero Arts

Now pop on over to my sister's blog and she her fabulous response to shells,  Cards and Co

As an aside this idea came from a Nursery Rhyme, although my title is wrong.  Have you ever wondered what the meaning of the rhyme, especially "pretty maids all in a row".  Well I did because the rhyme was going around and around in my head.  It's not nice.  It supposedly refers to King Henry 8th daughter, Queen Mary or otherwise known as Bloody Mary.  Silver bells and cockle shells were the name for the tools of torture and the pretty maids were nuns going to the gallows.  The question "how does your garden grow" was refering to the cemetry and how many people Mary had had killed.  Not nice.  I won't think of the rhyme the quite the same again same ever again.

Thanks for dropping by and sorry I was late getting this post up.

Have a Happy Day

Hello!  I have just arrived home from a weekend away.  My sister and I spent the weekend at Portarlington (a small seaside town on the Bellarine Peninsula).  The weather was warm which allowed us to do some walking.  But the main reason we got together was to do some crafting, the results of which I will show you later, when I have put the finishing touches.

A photo of some pelicans we saw on Saturday evening.

Now onto the card for this evening which is for CAS Colours & Sketches #261
Image:  Stampin' Up
Dies:  Lawn Fawn
Colouring:  Copic
Embossing:  Stampendous

Well that's all for tonight.  I will see you later in the week.

Have a good week

White on White

The theme for this week's Addicted to CAS Challenge #114 is White on White

I die cut Leonora Bloom, Memory Box, and adhered it to the the panel.  The sentiment is from a Penny Black set.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and the clear embossed it with Hero Arts embossing powder.  A Stampin' Up embossing folder was used to give some texture to the card.  The panel was mounted onto the card base with foam tape.

Get Well

Hello,

Recently LIM had a one layer get well challenge and I just couldn't get it to work.  I was trying to add a drawn frame around the image and every time something went wrong.  Eventually I made this card but didn't post it because it wasn't a one layer.  At present I am holidaying in Europe so I thought this was a good time to post this card.

Supplies:  White and green card, Tiffany Doodles image, Stampin' Up sentiment and Lyra pencils.
