Curve

The Less is More Challenge #323 is a onlayer card and the cue is Curve.  Will also join Simon Says Happy Birthday Challenge

For this card I masked off the balloon and sponged three different Distress Ink blues to give a bit of shading. The pattern is a DarkRoom Door stamp heat embossed using Hero Arts clear embossing powder.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp .  I used a black Tombow to draw the string.

Balloons

The challenge #313 at Less is More this week is the recipe Balloons.
I am sorry the photo isn't the best. There is what looks like a finger print on the card but it's the camera and I can't get rid of it.

I stamped the image Simon Says Stamp, Big Birthday Wishes, using Hero Arts, Fresh Peach.  The sentiment is from the same collection and stamped using Memonto, Tuxedo Black.  The Background, Darkroom Door - Harlequin, was stamped with the Hero Arts inkpad.  The panel was mounted to the card base using foam tape and a thin strip of black card was added to the side.  Finaly, because I can't help myself I added clear Wink of Stella to the balloons

Thanks a Latte

This is my first challenge for 2017, in fact this is the first challenge in quite a long time.  The card is a one layer for the Less is More challenge #311 - Favourite Drink/Beverage.
I stamped the cup from MFT, Hot Stuff set.  Then I made a mask and stamped Darkroom Door, Weathered Stripes background stamp, using Simon Says Stamps inkpad, Jelly Bean.  I coloured the cup with Lyra pencils. For added interest I applied clear Wink of Stella and I drew in the swirl using a black Tombow.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from MFT, Hot Stuff set.

Our Creative Corner

This is the second post for the day.  I still haven't heard from my son but no news is good news?

My second post is a card I made for Our Creative Corner challenge Making Melody.  Our Creative Corner

What a fun idea. The song I chose was "These Boots Are Made for Walkin" a 1966 hit recorded by Nancy Sinatra

The boot stamp and sentiment are Darcie's.  The white spot on black is Kaiser paper and the black spot on white was made using a Darkroom Door background stamp.  I double stamped the boot thn cut one out and popped it up on foam tape.  The other one I just cut the straps and popped those on the boot image.  I used Kaiser rhinestones but they don't show up in the photograph.

I tried to re-create the feel of the 60's by using spots and contrasting colours.

As I said earlier this was fun

Pink, Brown and Cream

Here is a new card which I am entering in The Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge No 16,  pink, brown and cream.  The stamps are from Fern Gully Stamps, Giraffe, the gingham is from Darkroom Door and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.  The card used is cream and brown and the final touch was the pink pearls.

 bye for now
