Let's Chat

I think the sentiment for my card tonight is very appropriate for the current circumstance we are all in at the moment.  It's important to keep in touch with family and friends, via phone, text, email, skype, zoom or by what ever means.  Just to have a chat and see how they are.

I have used Paper Smooches Vogue Abode and it was coloured with Lyra pencils.  The chair is paper pieced.

I would like to enter this card into Inspirational Challenge 209 - Chair Photo

Take care, stay safe and contact your family and friends to have a chat

Beach

In 2019 I changed my focus from card making to gardening.  The change occured because up until then we had kept chickens and they were free range.  If you have ever kept free range poultry you would know you there is no way a garden will survive.  Unfortunately foxes got in, even though we are only a 5 minute walk from the CBD, and killed our chickens.  This presented the perfect opportunity to re-establish a garden.

But now a year has gone by I want to take up card making again.  Here is a card I have made simply for the sake of making a card.

This is an Art Impressions stamp I have had for some time and it has never used.  So to remedy this I got out my pencils and coloured her.  I like this image, she has attitude with a capital A.

Yappy Birthday

The card tonight is for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #219 and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

I started by stamping the Mama Elephant dog on white cardstock and colouring it with Lyra pencils. I created a hole in the design paper (Stampin' Up I think).  I stamped the sentiment which is from the same set as the dog.  Then I drew a dotted line around the edge of the design paper with a white gel pen.  The design paper was then mounted onto the card with foam tape, as was the dog and sentiment banner.

On the Mend

Tonight's card is for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Spring Collection Inspiration

I have used a Pink Petticoat digital image and sentiment.  The sewing machine was coloured with Lyra pencils and then fussy cut.  Using a My Favorite Things die I cut a note page from some Minds Eye (I think) DP.  I mount the machine onto the note page with foam tape and in turn the note page was mounted to the card using foam tape.  It was finished of with some clear drops.

This is the inspirational mood board

I took inspiration from the green sewing machine.

Flamingo

The card tonight is for the CAS(E) this Sketch #216

I have used Pink Petticoat image which I coloured with Lyra pencil.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I scored the lines, added a ribbon and some Kaiser rhinestones.  This was then stuck to a piece of pink Bazzill card. Which in turn was mounted with foam tape onto the card.  I am just making the deadline by the skin of my teeth.

Icing

Today I am playing along with Casology Challenge #243 which - ICING.

The cupcake images are A Day for Daisies digital stamp.  I coloured the cupcakes with my Lyra pencils and fussy cut them out.  I punched out some little daisies from white card and added a Kaiser Kraft rhinestone to the centre.  These were to echo the daisies on the cakes.  Then I blended some VersaColor Pink and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, across the centre of the card. The Victorian Velvet was used to add some splatters.  The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.  The cupcakes were mounted on foam tape.  To finish the card the panel was popped up on foam tape.

The weather has turn cold and we have had rain and lots of wind this weekend.  But it's all good I am on leave for the next ten days. Love, love, love it!!!

Everyone have a great week.
