Bunnies

Tonight I have two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #25 - Spring Animals.  I have chosen a bunny.  The stamps I have used are from the Simon Says Stamp set, Some Bunny.  It's the very first time the set has been out of the packet.  I have coloured both bunnies with my Lyra pencils.

My First card is a cheery Hello.  Something we all need at present.  The sentiment is Hero Arts

My second card is an Easter Card.  I had fun doing the background.  for the ink blending I used Simon Says Stamp inkpads and embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The scalloped fram iswas made using a Spellbinders die.

Christmas Card Set

It is time for the challenge my sister and I do each month.  This month it was a set of cards, envelopes and gift tags.  I have used the theme of Christmas again.

It has been a lovely Easter.  The weather has been sunny and that always helps. 

I was able to catch up with a friend on Saturday and had a good long chat.  I like spending time with this friend she challenges me.  Sometimes you can become comfortable in your thinking so it is good to be given a different slant on things.

Yesterday my son came home for a visit.  It was lovely to have a family dinner.  They brought me a beautiful bunch of flowers.

I usually make a mess with black embossing powder so today I used a tip I read on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  To stamp in black and emboss in clear - no mess.

We have a pomergranate tree growing in our back yard.  It's a very pretty tree with all the bright red flowers.  I am so thrilled with the number of flowers on it this year that I have taken this photo to share with you.  Now fingers crossed they will develop into fruit and not split before I can pick them.

Sail Away

Tonight I have a card for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #220

The stamp set is from Simon Says.  The yacht was coloured with Lyra pencils and I used Hero Arts inkpad for the sponging.  I fussy cut the yact and the waves but used Spellbinders dies for the rectangle and the "moon".  The waves and the yact were mounted on foam tape.  The rhinestones are Kaiser Craft.

I have turned the sketch upside down.  I hope that is acceptable.

Poinsettia

Tonights card is for two challenges.  The first challenge is on CAS-ual Fridays CFC 169, Off the Edge and the other is The Flower Challenge #6, Anything Goes.

I stamped the Papertrey Ink Poinsettia twice, coloured them with copics and then fussy cut them.  The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die, Merry Christmas.  Which was then embosed in Hero Arts gold embossing powder.  Kaiser Craft rhinestones were used for the centre of the poinsettia and to give the flower a little more glamour I used Wink of Stella on the petals.

Goodness this is my third Christmas card for the year.  This is quite odd because I usually don't make my Christmas cards until the very last minute.  I am not complaining because if I can maintain the momentum I should have my Christmas cards done well before Christmas this year.  But then again I am not holding my breath.

Lifesaver

Today I have a post for Less is More challenge #317 Sketch 19

I have used the Simon Says Stamp set of Sailing stamps.  The lifesaver was stamped once on the mounting card and again on a scrap of card.  The second image was coloured using Copic and then cut out and popped up on foam tape over the first image.  The inks used were - Hero Arts Navy, Distress Unk Firebrick and Memento Tuxedo Black.  The Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes dies were used cut out some stars.  These were embossed with Hero Arts gold embossing powder.  Finaly the card was assembled.

Alphabet Birthday

Today I have a post for Less is More challenge #314 - ALPHABET

I used a very old unlabelled alphabet stamp set and randomly stamped individual pieces of the set in varying Simon Says Stamp colours.  I would never  have attempted this prior to purchasing a Misti.  I used a Winnie & Walter die cut for the happy and heat embossed the Hero Arts sentiment.

Balloons

The challenge #313 at Less is More this week is the recipe Balloons.

I am sorry the photo isn't the best. There is what looks like a finger print on the card but it's the camera and I can't get rid of it.

I stamped the image Simon Says Stamp, Big Birthday Wishes, using Hero Arts, Fresh Peach.  The sentiment is from the same collection and stamped using Memonto, Tuxedo Black.  The Background, Darkroom Door - Harlequin, was stamped with the Hero Arts inkpad.  The panel was mounted to the card base using foam tape and a thin strip of black card was added to the side.  Finaly, because I can't help myself I added clear Wink of Stella to the balloons

Heartfelt Thanks

This is my first challenge for Casology 2017, in fact this is the first challenge in quite a long time.  The cue for the challenge #232 - Cut.

I die cut three Simon Says Stamp, Calliope Flourish dies.  One was coloured with Copics, clear Wink of Stella was applied to the flowers as well as KaiserCraft rhinsestones.  Then the three dies were stuck together.  The sentiment is Penny Black, Heart Felt and it was stamped using Memento, Tuxedo Black.

Sympathy

I started a Christmas card at the beginning of the week but first I was distracted by an inspiration photo and now by a colour.  The CASology challenge is a colour - brown.  I made a card Silhouette, earlier this year, using a brown colour scheme and it came together very easily. 

Supplies:  White and brown card, Judikins image, PTI sentiment, Distress inkpad, Kaiser pearls.
 
I am going to try to make a few sympathy cards as I  don't have any.  The day I was to leave on my vacation my mother-in-law asked for a sympathy card.  What a bustle but I managed to do it.  This card will be a start as brown lends itself to this sentiment.

Today my rubbish bin full to over flowing but I finally managed to finish a card.  This one almost met the same fate but careful placement of a pearl saved it (to cover a small mark)

Silver Christmas Tree.

Hello,

I went to a Craft Show in September and I bought three Penny Black stamps.  Two of them were Christmas stamps, a wreath and a tree.  Both are fairly simple stamps but I have already made a few cards using both stamps.  I have become interested in simply trying  different colour combinations.  Tonight I have used the Christmas Tree.
