JOY

It’s the last Sunday of the month so it is time for the challenge I have with my sister, Cards and Co.  This month it is an Altered Item.

The big question was what to do?  I thought Christmas was a good place to start.  Also doing letters meant if I was only able to do one letter I still had something to show.  I played safe and use a small word.

Letters - KaiserCraft
Stamp Sets - Merry Jingle & Peace & Joy, both Penny Black; Poinsettia, Papertrey Ink; Christmas Rose Just Inklined digital stamp

Colouring - Copics
Accents - Nouvo Crystal drops & Kaiser Craft rhinestones
ChipBoard words - Scrapmatt
Paint - Kaisercolour

Do pop over and have a look at my sisters Altered Item, it's very pretty.

Poinsettia

Tonights card is for two challenges.  The first challenge is on CAS-ual Fridays CFC 169, Off the Edge and the other is The Flower Challenge #6, Anything Goes.

I stamped the Papertrey Ink Poinsettia twice, coloured them with copics and then fussy cut them.  The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die, Merry Christmas.  Which was then embosed in Hero Arts gold embossing powder.  Kaiser Craft rhinestones were used for the centre of the poinsettia and to give the flower a little more glamour I used Wink of Stella on the petals.

Goodness this is my third Christmas card for the year.  This is quite odd because I usually don't make my Christmas cards until the very last minute.  I am not complaining because if I can maintain the momentum I should have my Christmas cards done well before Christmas this year.  But then again I am not holding my breath.
