Scene in Tangerine

Hello,

Moxie Fab World Tuesday challenge this week is Scene in Tangerine.

Supplies:  White and green card, Just Inklined digital image, Hero Arts sentiment, Lyra pencils and Kaiser rhinestones.

Challenges -
Old Back Porch - Anything Goes
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Platypus Creek Digitals - Anything Goes

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.  I started my weekend early I had and RDO and went with my cousin to see Monet’s Garden at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.  The gallery was founded in 1861 and is the oldest public art museum in Australia.  There a couple of features of the museum I particularly like.  As you enter you pass the water wall.  Which is a large pane of glass with water running down it and the inclination is to run a finger through the water.

From inside

Another feature I like is the ceiling of the Great Hall.  It is the world's largest stained glass ceiling.  As children we would lie on the floor to view the ceiling.

Every winter the gallery has a special exhibition and this year it is Monet's Garden.  It was wonderful.  It had pieces from his student days to his iconic garden at Giverny.

Afterwards we sat in the sun on the Southbank Promenade drinking coffee and people watching.  There were a lot of British tourist.  This was because the following night the British and Irish Lions were playing Australia in Melbourne and the tourist were here to support them.

Then in the evening we went to a concert.  It was Rachmaninov and Elgar.  A very pleasant way to end a lovely day.

Well it's late now so I must finish.

Thank you for dropping in

Challenges:
Hobby House Challenge - Anything Goes
Tokbobok - Anything Goes

Well the weekend is over and now to prepare for work tomorrow.

Thank you for dropping by.

Well it's late and I have work tomorrow so I must close.

Tuesday Trigger: Home Sweet Home

Today's card is for Tuesday Trigger: Home sweet home.

The house and the little bird were the inspiration.  So the next step was ... why not a birdhouse?

It is also entered into Simon Says Stamp challenge: anything goes

Have a good weekend

Cure for the Winter Blues

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge, Cure for the Winter Blues.  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/02/cure-for-winter-blues-challenge.html
To make the card I used Hero Arts digital Winged Friends, Stampit Catrina for the background and the sentiment is a Penny Black

I like using digital images because it allows me to adjust the size of the image.

Must admit with the hot humid weather we have had lately, I wasn't thinking so much about a cure for the winter blues but that there 'ain't no cure for the summertime blues'

thanks for looking
