Sail Away

Tonight I have a card for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #220

The stamp set is from Simon Says.  The yacht was coloured with Lyra pencils and I used Hero Arts inkpad for the sponging.  I fussy cut the yact and the waves but used Spellbinders dies for the rectangle and the "moon".  The waves and the yact were mounted on foam tape.  The rhinestones are Kaiser Craft.

I have turned the sketch upside down.  I hope that is acceptable.

Blue Thank You

Tonight's post is for CAS-ual Fridays CFC172 - Colour Challenge.  Also joining the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

The base card was stamped with a Hero Arts background stamp and was heat embossed with Hero Arts enbossing powder.  I cut two different sized rectangles, one pink and one navy.   The navy rectangle had a Hero Arts sentiment stamped on it and heat embossed in white.  The rose stamp (a freebie from a magazine) was stamped on a navy piece of card and a white piece.  The navy piece was heat embossed and the white piece was coloured with Copic.  The coloured roses were cut out and stuck on the blue card.  The card was then put together.  Foam tape was used on the base card and the floral corner.

The weekend is upon us, so have a lovely weekend everyone.

Counting the Time

Here is my card for the Time Out Challenge #81 which is inspired by a Home Sweet Home photo.

I lightly stamped an Art Journey background stamp then I sponged over the stamping with Ranger Ink.  I stamped a clock and sentiment from the Flourishes Moments in Time set using Momento Tuxedo Black.  Hero Arts butterflies were added using Ranger ink.  This panel was then mounted onto the card using foam tape.

My inspiration was the clock and the butterflies.

Stripe

The theme for this week's Less is More Challenge #325 is Stripe

I have used the Paper Smooches stampset, Vogue Abode, for my card tonight.  I have paper pieced the furniture with Kaiser Craft design paper.  The pale blue rhinestones are also Kaiser Craft.  Just out of interest to which era do you think this furniture belongs?

Rennie McIntosh Roses

The card tonight is for the Flower Challenge #7 - Sketch

The stamp set I have used was free with a magazine and it is coloured with Copic markers.  The roses were cut out with a round die and mounted on black card.  The border stamp was also mounted on black card and then the card was assembled.

I have a number of roses in my garden and one of my favorites is the Charles Rennie McIntosh, a David Austin rose.  It's a soft pink lilac colour.

Spring Walk

The theme for this week's Less is More Challenge #324 is SPRING WALK

The Penny Black image was coloured with Lyra pencils and a Technique Tuesday sentiment was stamped.   The card base had splatters and Doodle Bug DP added.  The panel was attached to the card base with foam squares to give some dimension to the card.  Finally I used Martha Stewart punch to make some butterflies from Doodle Bug Sugar paper and adhered them to the card.

On the Mend

Tonight's card is for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Spring Collection Inspiration

I have used a Pink Petticoat digital image and sentiment.  The sewing machine was coloured with Lyra pencils and then fussy cut.  Using a My Favorite Things die I cut a note page from some Minds Eye (I think) DP.  I mount the machine onto the note page with foam tape and in turn the note page was mounted to the card using foam tape.  It was finished of with some clear drops.

This is the inspirational mood board

I took inspiration from the green sewing machine.

Happy Birthday

Today I have a card for the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #218

I have used  Hero Arts image which I coloured with Lyra pencil and then fussy cut.  I gave the balloon a touch of  Wink of Stella.  A small Lawn Fawn Stiched rectangle was cut and an Annabelle Stamps sentiment was stamped on it and and one corner was lightly sponged with Distress Ink.  The mouse image was adhered to the rectangle with foam tape.  A Technique Tuesday daisy die was added to the panel and the rectangle was added to the panel with foam tape.  All was added to the card base again with foam tape.  Then horror! I noticed a smudge so I added three Clear Droplets.

Strong

Tonight I am playing along with Casology Challenge #244 - Strong.

I found this challenge difficult because I had nothing to use in my stash.  I finally found a verse online.  The feather is a Hero Arts stamp which was heat embossed using Hero Art gold embossing powder.  I sponged a background to the feather with Distress Ink.  The button is unknown but the twine is Jillybean.  To finish I used gold and clear sequins.

Rainbow

Todays post is for CAS-ual Fridays CFC171 - Rainbows.  By happy coincidence I can also use Rainbow for the Time Out Challenge #80 'When it rains look for rainbows, when its dark look for stars'

The rainbow was created using copics on a strip of card.  I then used an Annabelle Stamps die on a second card strip and stuck the two together.  The Hero Arts sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and Hero Arts white embossing powder was added and heat embossed.  The sentiment was then added to the card using foam tape.  The panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape.

Icing

Today I am playing along with Casology Challenge #243 which - ICING.

The cupcake images are A Day for Daisies digital stamp.  I coloured the cupcakes with my Lyra pencils and fussy cut them out.  I punched out some little daisies from white card and added a Kaiser Kraft rhinestone to the centre.  These were to echo the daisies on the cakes.  Then I blended some VersaColor Pink and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, across the centre of the card. The Victorian Velvet was used to add some splatters.  The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.  The cupcakes were mounted on foam tape.  To finish the card the panel was popped up on foam tape.

The weather has turn cold and we have had rain and lots of wind this weekend.  But it's all good I am on leave for the next ten days. Love, love, love it!!!

Everyone have a great week.
