A Dance with Grandpa

Hello,

This image reminds me of family parties when I was a child.  I would dance with my Father and Grandfather, except I would place my feet on theirs to dance.  I used to feel so grown up and it was fun.

  1. What a great image! I too think of my childhood when I look at this one... Lovely paper, love the red ribbon, matches grandpa's tie and the little girl's ribbon around her waist.

  5. Oh I remember this too! I always imagined I looked just like Ginger Rogers (my stepmother always watched the films on Saturday afternoons so I knew all about Fred and Ginger!) I love your vintage-style card.

  6. Hello!

Love your card! When we were children my parents used to take us to a local dance on Saturdays and we were taught all of the basics of the waltz, polka, two-step, etc. We learned the slow dances by standing on my father's feet as he moved to the dance and we felt so grown up! My parents danced together so beautifully - good memory that I hadn't thought of in a long time. Wishing you a happy day!

    Hugs,

    Barbara Diane
