A Dance with Grandpa

This image reminds me of family parties when I was a child.  I would dance with my Father and Grandfather, except I would place my feet on theirs to dance.  I used to feel so grown up and it was fun.
Supplies:  White and Green card, Mo Mannings image, PTI sentiment, Bestabilities, Lyra pencils, Basicgrey papers, ribbon, flower, Kaiser pearl

  1. What a great image! I too think of my childhood when I look at this one... Lovely paper, love the red ribbon, matches grandpa's tie and the little girl's ribbon around her waist.

  2. This is sooo Adorable Skye..Loz

  3. Your card is really lovely Skye. :-) Beautiful use of the sketch and such a sweet memory it brought back. Thank you so much for joining us at Mo's this week!

  4. What a wonderful nostalgic card! Haven't seen this image colored before! You did a great job showcasing it!
Thanks for sharing your card with us at Mo's!

  5. Oh I remember this too! I always imagined I looked just like Ginger Rogers (my stepmother always watched the films on Saturday afternoons so I knew all about Fred and Ginger!) I love your vintage-style card.

  6. Hello!

Love your card! When we were children my parents used to take us to a local dance on Saturdays and we were taught all of the basics of the waltz, polka, two-step, etc. We learned the slow dances by standing on my father's feet as he moved to the dance and we felt so grown up! My parents danced together so beautifully - good memory that I hadn't thought of in a long time. Wishing you a happy day!
