Autumn

I have been absent this past month due to a family bereavement.

Joining the fun at Our Beautiful World this week (#68) is a way of easing back into blogging.  Ros is the host this week and her prompt is Autumn.

This photo was taken back in May.   It was a miserable cold grey day, I was at work and walking between buildings, and there were piles of leaves everywhere.  It took a lot of restraint not to drag my feet through them or kick them in the air.

It is Spring in Australia now so I am including a few photos I have taken recently.
Blossom on one of our pear trees
 Apple blossom
 A neighbour's tree
Finally this magnificent magnolia tree I saw in Ballarat.  It's the biggest magnolia I have ever seen.

Thank you for visiting and have a great week.

Skye

  1. I'm so glad you chose to include the pictures of spring. What a lovely contrast! That magnolia tree is stunning! It must have truly been beautiful in person because your picture is lovely. I'd have kicked the leaves that day too! So glad to have found you through Our Beautiful World.

  3. It took me a moment to realize what it meant that you were posting from Australia... Spring blossoms seem so out of season here! Loved seeing them, though, and will love them even more come 2015 :-)

  4. What a cheerful post that was inspite of a family bereavement you have had. These pics are awesome, a bit like life really, up and down, bright and dull, pretty and not so pretty...

  7. Hi Skye, the gutter autumn leaves brings such memories of shuffling along through them as a child...actually I could still do that. But yes it's spring here and I love your blossom photos, the magnolia is magnificent. Thanks for sharing with OBW Cheers Robyn

  8. We won't be seeing spring for quite some time here. This morning we have a little fire going to take the chill out of the air. I love this time of year.
