Hello,
Make My Monday challenge for this week is to use purple and yellow.
Supplies: White, yellow and purple card, Blockheads image, PTI sentiment, VersaColor.
I have admired this technique on numerous cards. First I tried swiping ink pads across the card. It looked easy and it sounded easy but... So then I used a brayer. I am happy with the result but definitely need practise. It was fun to make.
The card is also for the following challenges -
Mema's Crafts - July Challenge ~ Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes.
Goodnight and than you for dropping in

ReplyDeleteSorry - made a spelling mistake! Your card is lovely, very serene and very calming - thanks for joining in this week at MMM - Jacqueline xx
DeleteHi Skye- thanks for the comment you left on my blog today. The stamp I used was a solid flower petal, I think from the Stamps of Life butterfly or Dragonfly set. (Even if it wasn't exactly that stamp, it would work if you used something shaped like that). Pretty card with a tricky colour combination here! Good job!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am admiring your ability to pull this technique off. I would never have thought of using these colours for a sympathy card and stand thoroughly corrected. Well done you. Love it. Hugs, Buttons x
ReplyDeleteYou have completely rocked that background technique Skye and it looks wonderful with the text and silhouetted plant. Vicky x
