Make it Monday Party: - #120 Anything Goes
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
Today we went to a Christmas carols luncheon. It was great fun. The company was lovely, the food was delicious and it is always nice to sing carols.
There was one carol I would like to share. It is an Australian adaption of Jingle Bells. This isn't new, so Australians will know it.
Aussie Jingle Bells
Dashing through the bush
In a rusty Holden ute
Kicking up the dust
Esky in the boot
Kelpie by my side
Singing Christmas songs
It's summer time and I am in
My singlet, short and thongs!
CHORUS
Oh! Jingle Bells, JingleBells
Jingle all the way
Christmas in Australia
On a scorching summer's day
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Christmas time is beaut
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a rusty Holden ute!
Engines getting hot
Dodge the kangaroos
Swaggy climbs aboard
He is welcom too
All the family is there
Sitting by the pool
Christmas day, the Aussie way
By the babecue!
CHORUS
Come the afternoon
Grandpa has a doze
The kids and Uncle Bruce
Are swimming in their clothes
The time comes round to go
We take a family snap
Then pack the car and all shoot through
Before the washing up!
CHORUS
Must close. Take care and thank you for dropping by
Миленько!

Gorgeous card Skye. I LOVE this adaptation of Jingle Bells..Loz
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, Skye. I love the image and as the theme says - less is more. Good luck with the challenges. I loved reading 'Jingle Bells' it made me giggle. Unfortunately here in England, on Christmas Eve, its raining yet again, but it could be worse. A lot of people are being flooded out, luckily we live at the top of a hill so fingers crossed we should be ok. Thank you for popping along to my blog last week after seeing my card on MIM. I would have popped over sooner but I have been ill. Take care and have a good Christmas.

What a stunning card! I seen this on MIM, and I just love when simplicity looks this good. I also love your Aussie Christmas song...what fun it was to read and sing along.
