Hello Sunshine

The card today is for the challenge at Less is More - (the dreaded) One Layer Challenge with the addition of stencils.

I used Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder on the sun but you can't see how sparkley it is in the first photo. The second photo gives a better idea of sparkle.  For the clouds I used Memory Box Puffy Clouds die to make a stencil for the cloud bank.

Stencil - My Favorite Things
Sentiment - Paper Smooches
Ink Pad - Distress Ink and VersaColor
Embossing Powder - Hero Arts
Die - Memory Box
Embellishment - Kaiser Craft

I hope you have a very Happy Easter

Hello,  Thankfully the zucchini season is coming to an end.  We have had a very good season and have had zucchinis coming out our ears.  I have shared them with friends, family, neighbours and every one at work.  Out of desperation I have found lots of new recipes.  One of my favourite finds is Clotilde Dusoulier's Chocolate Zucchini Cake recipe. This is a beautifully moist chocolate cake.  Clotilde is a French food writer based in Paris.  Clotilde had a great anecdote about zuchinnis which I which I thought was very funny.   "An American friend once explained to me that nobody ever locks their car in her small town… except when it’s zucchini season. Leave your door unlocked then, and you risk coming back to find a crate of zucchini left on your passenger seat."  Perhaps I could try this tactic next year.

( A dad joke for you - What is black and white and red all over?
Answer - An embarrased zebra)

Image - A Day for Daisies
Sentiment - Computer generated
Colouring - Copics

Todays card is for the challenge at Less is More - Monochrome.

That is all for today.  Thanks for dropping by.

Have a Happy Day

Hello!  I have just arrived home from a weekend away.  My sister and I spent the weekend at Portarlington (a small seaside town on the Bellarine Peninsula).  The weather was warm which allowed us to do some walking.  But the main reason we got together was to do some crafting, the results of which I will show you later, when I have put the finishing touches.

A photo of some pelicans we saw on Saturday evening.

Now onto the card for this evening which is for CAS Colours & Sketches #261
