Love & Marriage

Hello,

The weather this weekend has returned to winter, it's freezing!  It was the Australian Rules Football finals yesterday and the best way to watch it was on television.  The conditions were Artic.  Hope you team won.

The Less is More challenge this week is Love and Marriage.   For this challenge there is a special guest, Susan Goetter.   She is always very inspirational and well worth a visit.

Here is my card
Supplies:  Glossy cream card, Embossed paper (scrap of unknown origin), Waltzinfmous frame, PTI sentiment, Alison Ellis embossing powder, Versamark stamp pad, Carl punch flower,s MS punch leaves and Kaiser pearls

Will also be entering this card in the following challenges -
Simon Says - Anything goes

When I first entered challenges I had trouble with the lighting.  It is uaually late at night when I am taking photos of the finished card.  Then I found a light box on sale and bought one.  Problem is I have no where to put it so it lives on the floor.  Now the lighting is fine but I don't always have the card lined up correctly because I lie on the floor to take the photo.  I not only have problem with my photograpy but the dog thinks I am playing and keeps jumping on me.  So my next purchase will be a small tripod.  I must also mention the cat likes to sleep in the box hence white hairs all over it.  All in all not very professional but I find it funny.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Take care and thank you for dropping by.

Earlier this month I made a vintage card and entered it in the Stampalot: Victorian Photo Inspiration challenge.   But I miscalculated the number of challenges I entered with the card and was ineligible for the Stampalot challenge.  That's what happens when you rush things at 2am in the morning.

I have made a new card for the challenge
Supplies:  White and apricot card, Graphics 45 image, Pinkpaislee background paper, Doiley, Prima flowers, Lace, Distress ink, PTI sentiment, Kelly Panacci stickers and Kaiser pearls

Stampin for the Weekend starting christmas early

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Today has turned out to be a lovely day, a good day for gardening, but I have been inside crafting. I am excusing myself with the knowledge I have a day off from work tomorrow and can catch up outside then.

The past few day there have been very strong winds.  The wind have been so strong it broke our back gate off it's hinge.  We have done makeshift repairs until we replace it with a new gate.  On Friday I came home to find the dog in the front garden, he had managed to get out the back gate.  Fortunately we have nice neighbours and they found him and brought him home.  Aren't people nice?

I hope to see you again tonight

Foliage

Hello,

I am joining in with Less is More again this week.  The challenge is one layer with foliage.
And here is my card.
Supplies:  White card, Blockheads image, Penny Black sentiment and Distress Ink.

I enjoy the LIM challenges because I learn a lot from them and they encourages me to try new techniques.  Sometimes I chicken out.  I would have liked to put a boarder or embossing around the image but it had taken me so many attempts to reach this stage that I was worried if I tried to do either I would ruin it.  I also have a question - Can bling be used on one layer cards?

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

It's the fifth day of spring and we are having lovely weather, warm and sunny.  And this evening when I was walking the dog, I didn't need a coat.  I love this weather.  While I was out with the dog I saw a beautiful sunset.  The sky was a pale yellow and there were fluffy purple clouds all tinged with pink.  A nice way to end the day.

Well that's all for tonight

It has been a super weekend.  Firstly this morning we went out for breakfast to celebrate Father's day.  I like going out for breakfast, you start the day early and have the rest of the day ahead of you and the food of course. The day was lovely and sunny so I spent it in the garden.  I am afraid I am a fine weather gardener thus there is a lot of work to do after winter.  I enjoyed my time outside in the sunshine, a lovely second day of spring.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend

Thank you for dropping by

Cheers
